I hope you are having a fun and relaxing summer!
I live on a little homestead-in-progress in Texas, so summer and the patriotic holidays it comes with are always fun.
To celebrate, let’s take a look at all the dinosaurs and other critters I’ve drawn and see which ones are from the USA. The first set are all from the Kayenta Formation in New Mexico. Skittles the Scutellosaurus and Picasso the Dilophosaurus are from there, and lived during the Early Jurassic Period.

Dilophosaurus and Scutellosaurus later got updates for their chibi-style stickers, but all of the others down below are from the Morrison Formation in the Western US. There are a lot of famous dinosaurs from the Late Jurassic here, so you can find several of them as part of the paleo pals over at the shop, like Rosie the Dryosaurus, Bowser the Ceratosaurus, and Bella the Camarasaurus.

More critters from the Morrison Formation, this time as part of the Fossil Friday series I did a while back. I would love to continue this series, because I love this style and the little snapshot of their environment.

More critters from the USA! You might recognize a few more Fossil Friday dinos here. I like to print them out as stickers and put them in my journal. If I’m ever having a rough day, these cute paleo pals always give me a smile. The Deinosuchus and the Parasaurolophus are a couple of my favorites from this batch, but the super cute chibis are all over my journal pages. I hope they bring a little joy to your day!

What’s Happening
Babysaurus is doing great and is growing super fast, but I still need a little more time to focus on him and the rest of the family. The good news is that now he’s getting a taste of a few mushy foods instead of just milk, and I think I see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel of sleepless nights!
Thank you so much for your patience, I promise I will be back here with more cute paleo pals as soon as I am able! I the meantime, I hope you enjoy these throwbacks to older posts.
Which all-American critters are your favorites? I’d love to hear from you in the comments! I always read them, even if I can’t answer right away.

See you August 1st for the next Critter of the Month!
