I hope you’re enjoying the holidays this season! Alfred really liked what he found under the tree. π
No Critter of the Week this week since I’ve been spending quality time with family, but I’ll try my best to have next week’s updated critter all ready to go next Wednesday. Next week I’ll also be sharing the latest Baby news (I see my doctor on Friday), and more progress.
Until then, I hope your holiday celebrations are peaceful and full of joy!
P.S.- Any guesses for what’s in the box? π
I can gasie whatβs in there but I hope Iβm wrong

Lol, no, that’d be pretty stinky. It’s probably a nice old boot to tear up π Still stinky, but no risk of rotting.

Happy Holidays! Was there ever such a thing as a white Christmas in the Jurassic era? Either way, Alfred sure looks happy–I like the little doodle you made. π That box must have either a bone, a treat, or a chew toy. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to draw this? π

Thank you Brownie!
It would be hard to find in some places, but there were plenty of areas with snow on the ground this time of year. Some Jurassic dinos in Antarctica would’ve had “Christmas in July” sort of weather, but Alfred’s wild cousins probably saw a little snow in the northernmost parts of North America. π Things were a bit wetter at the time, so in some areas you might be more likely to see at least a little snow more often than the same areas today!
I’m not sure what’s in the box, but whatever it is, it smells rancid! π It’s probably a meaty treat ball that’s turned a bit sour. Yuck! But Alfred loves it. He’s got the stomach of a vulture! π
I sketched the illustration slowly throughout the morning (no ref, so errors abound), then colored it over naptime. π

Happy Holidays to you too! Hope you had an amazing holiday with your family, and hope the petshop also had a wonderful one.Pete’s probably bankrupt for all the money he spent on the dinos’ gifts! The only thing i can guess in the gift is food..

Thank you Kaprosaurus! The holidays have actually been the few calm, relaxing days in all the busy prep for Baby’s arrival, so I am most grateful for closeness of the holiday schedule last year. (Feels interesting saying that, Happy New Year! π )
Pete is very practical, so he probably didn’t spend much more than the usual feeding bill π
What took the extra time was wrapping all those presents! But the critters sure have fun with it, and they really like the treats inside. Alfred’s gift may be a bone or specially prepared treat ball. Whatever is in there, he loves it, and I can hardly stand the smell! It’s a rancid sort of sweet, whatever it is. π
